X2 is out movie goers. Yes, the sequel to the hit movie X-Men hit the theaters last week so now the word is out and the verdict is in. Critics are giving it a thumbs up and I give it a thumbs up. What more do you need? Ok, movie fans that watch artsy film went to see it, folks that normally hate sci-fi went to see it. Why? Good story, good superheroes, and good action.

The White Stripes, formed by brother and sister act Jack and Meg White, a duo that rocks as if there is no tomorrow. What makes Elephant, the new release off of Atlantic Records, interesting is the sweet clipping and fuzz of Jack's guitars. The album includes a melancholic version of Burt Bacharach's I Just Don't Know What To Do With Myself . Lets not forget, Meg White just plain rocks on the drums with her creatively tight syncopation driven by Hendrix like guitar licks that Jack issues just makes you bob your head in a mad frenzy.

Look out for some home grown tracks complete with guitars, singing and a few synth instrumentals. I'm out for now but will check in with you to showcase some more delicious music.

I just picked up Slowpho at a local CD supermarket--alright so it was Virgin. Anyway, the album is called "hi-fi sounds for young norwegians" released in March 2003, with Christian Watkins on synths and programming along with sexy Hilde Drange on vocals. Overall good tracks, good arrangement and production rounding things is Hilde's Bjork slash Sade type vocals kept me grooving last month. The only down side are the beats, tries too hard to be street.
